Q. What areas does Tentland offer services in?

Q. What size of tent do I need for my event?

There are many factors to consider when deciding on the size of tent you need. The size depends on whether you your event will require seating, tables, dance floor, DJ space or additional areas and spacing with in the tent.

A great place to start is with the number you guests you expect to have at your event. Then leave approximately 10 square feet per person. So if you're planning on having 100 guests, you will need a 1000 square foot tent (50ft x 50ft).

Tentland can help you determine the most efficient size during a consultation. We also have a tent sizing chart, which lists the number of people and the approximate size of tent.

Q. How will the tents be secured?

To secure the tent, we use metal stakes that will be driven into the lawn, asphalt or setup area. If the tent needs to be setup on a concrete, we will need to drill the stakes directly into the concrete. It's therefore very helpful if you know where on the property all sprinklers, water lines, gas lines, hydro lines, and other utilities are located.

Q. Do your tents come with electricity outlets?

You will need to provide your own on-site electrical extension / power cords if you wish to have power supplied to your tent. Tentland does not provide power to the tents, this needs to be provided from the location.

Q. The area I want the tent setup in is sloped - can a tent still be set up there?

If the slope is a gradual one it should still be feasible, however we recommend a survey of the area / location inspection by Tentland prior to your event to ensure there won't be any issues.

Delivery, Setup and Pickup Questions

Q. When will the tent be delivery and picked up after the event?

For specific setup/delivery times, please call to schedule a time at least four days in advance of the event. Otherwise, we will deliver as close to your event time as possible. After the event, we will schedule a pick up time that's convenient to you.

Q. Do I have to locate any underground wires prior to having the tent setup?

Yes, Tentland recommends you contact Ontario One Call (free service) at 1-800-400-2255 within 30 days prior to tent set-up, to ensure there are no underground obstructions.

Payment Questions

Q. Is there a deposit required when booking an event?

Yes. A 20% non-refundable deposit of the total cost is required to the hold equipment for the date of the event.

Q. When in the final payment due?

Final payment is due the day of delivery. We accept cash and/or cheque. Please make cheques out to Tentland.

Q. Are there any additional charges for delivery, equipment, setup and takedown?

All rentals include free setup and takedown. A delivery fee may be assessed for deliveries outside of a forty km radius.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

We require 30 days notice for cancelation in order to retain your deposit. Any cancellations within 30 days of your event, you will forfeit your rental deposit.
